Editorial Policy

Our guides exist to help readers make practical decisions about protecting and caring for their eyewear. This policy explains how we create and maintain them.

Accuracy first

Every guide is researched against manufacturer care instructions, optical industry guidance and widely accepted practice from eye care professionals. Where a claim depends on a specific product, lens type or frame material, we say so. When guidance is general, such as typical frame dimensions or how a material usually behaves, we describe it as general guidance rather than a guarantee.

Practical and specific

We favor clear steps, measurements in millimeters, tables and checklists over vague advice. Illustrations and charts on the site are created by our team to explain concepts; when a chart shows a ranking or score that is a judgment rather than measured data, the caption says so.

Independence from advertisers and partners

  • Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say over what we write or recommend.
  • We do not accept payment for coverage, placement or positive reviews.
  • Any affiliate links are labeled, and pages that contain them carry a disclosure. See our affiliate and advertising disclosure.

Health and safety boundaries

We write about cases, storage, cleaning and simple at-home care. We do not give medical advice. Guides that touch on lenses, coatings or frame fit recommend consulting an optician or eye care provider for anything beyond basic care.

Review and updates

Each guide is written and edited by K.R. and reviewed before publication for accuracy, clarity and completeness. We review guides periodically and update them when products, materials or best practices change. The date shown on each guide is the date it was last reviewed or updated.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Readers can report errors to contact@eyeglasscases.com. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected guide with the date of the change.
